I started playing when I was ten — my dad taught me, and all these years later he's still my member-guest partner. Since then I've been on more than thirty boys' trips: groups of eight to sixteen, some run like clockwork by the club pro, others held together by a member with a plan and a group text. I'm a member at a private club, so I've lived both — the polished productions and the beautiful chaos — and loved every version of it.
